Artist Statement

Edward Brown once said, “The artist has one function to affirm and glorify life.”

Endless Celebration is a mirror of human relations. A sculpture and a subject of dialogue dedicated to bringing the community into the art. This sculpture was created to reflect a strong community where people who live here can work hard and enjoy the good life.

Introducing sculpture to retail architecture reflects the humanity behind commerce. Sculpture should help preserve the integrity, stability and beauty of a community. I am hoping that this work will communicate romanticism and joy to all of the people who live or visit Bellevue. My goal as a sculptor is that  Endless Celebration will evoke in the viewer celebratory emotions. May this piece become a timeless symbol of pleasure and abundance.

Endless Celebration is a fifty-one foot cast bronze sculpture, weighing nearly three tons. An adventurous approach to the use of balance, as one figure daringly holds the other up into the sky with trust and declares its space with elegance.

My vision as the artist is that  Endless Celebration helps define the beauty and dynamic energy of Bellevue Place. All communities honor hard work and good lives. Endless Celebration is that balance within all of us.
